CART deliverables are in the form of movie slices at 25 mm depth layers over the complete area along with Plan and sectional CAD drawings of buried infrastructure. This facilitates more accurate designs, which offers the ability to make better cost and risk assessment decisions. Key Deliverables:

Generally, the Vac-U-Digga NZ team will arrive on site, scan and collate extensive data from the designated project area. This is carried out by using 3D Computer Assisted Radar Tomography; aided as necessary by 2D GPR and EMI technologies. The gathered data is then interpreted by our qualified operators and converted into 3D imagery. The deliverables are then converted into multi-layer survey quality CAD format drawings that can be overlaid on current plans with satellite imagery to assist in the orientation and interpretation.
3 - 5 days after the scanning process is complete, preliminary deliverables will be available for clients to view. Ground proving and calibration work can then be commenced on mutual beneficial potholing locations by our specialised non-destructive digging equipment.
Part of our ‘one stop shop’ solution exclusive to Vac-U-Digga NZ is our 3-D technology Computer Assisted Radar Tomography – ‘CART’. CART technology provides high resolution, fully navigable 3D imagery of the subsurface depicting in high detail underground assets and infrastructure with amazing clarity and accuracy. Thanks to our new CART system, we offer our clients highly accurate and highly detailed reports that can be delivered in a range of formats including AutoCAD or Bentley MX drawing format with associated images.
CART can be integrated seamlessly with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) hardware, Geophysical Diffraction Tomography (GDT) software, surveying, and Subsurface Utility Information (SUI) classifications. These processes are collected, analysed and integrated into a deliverable format which gives our clients a total picture of the subsurface infrastructure and accurate locations of underground assets.
Excavation works can often be a case of trying to pick your way through an unseen network of underground assets. Identifying and excavating around underground infrastructure and utilities has always been a major challenge facing contractors, construction teams, councils and authorities alike. One of the key reasons for this problem is a lack of accurate utility mapping data pinpointing the precise location of underground assets. Until now, having visibility on the underground network of services to shape project designs around utility conflicts and lowering the risk of damaging underground assets has been impossible.
